About Shannon Mustard

Shannon is from Caledon, Ontario and received a BSc in Agriculture degree from the University of Guelph. After spending a semester abroad in Sweden, she decided to focus her education on sustainable practices in the agriculture industry. Over the past year, Shannon has become interested in regenerative agriculture, carbon sequestration practices, and plant-microbe ecology. This fall, Shannon will begin her MSc in Soil Science at the University of Manitoba. Her research project will focus on micro-meteorology of gas exchange in cover crop systems in the Red River Valley. In the future, Shannon would like to pursue a career in regenerative agriculture research or environmental policy. She enjoys cooking, photography, and spending as much time outdoors as she can.
