About Roy Ahiati
Roy Ahiati is a second-year MSc student pursuing a degree in Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (FARE) at the University of Guelph. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ghana in 2017. Roy has a four-year professional work experience as a Finance Officer in the oil industry. Driven by a commitment to poverty alleviation issues, Roy transitioned from his corporate role to further his studies, where he developed a keen interest in environmental economics. His current research involves the use of bioeconomic simulation models to analyze fertilizer application choices and emission reduction. In his free time, Roy enjoys reading about philosophy and cosmology. He is also a staunch fan of Liverpool FC.
