About Rachel Teller
Rachel grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Agroecology with a minor in Soil Science at the University of Manitoba. She has long had an interest in sustainability issues and in high school began to read articles about climate change mitigation research. Noticing that a large portion of this climate research involved the field of agriculture is what inspired her to pursue a degree in this area. Beginning university with no agricultural experience, she quickly developed a passion and keen interest for the field. Sustainable and climate-mitigating crop production practices have been her greatest interest, and she hopes to contribute to research in these areas in her future career. Rachel’s research was conducted in Dr. Entz’s long-term studies and explores how practices for better soil health impact weed management. In her free time Rachel enjoys reading, staying active, and playing the French horn.
