About Martha Osei-Yeboah

Osei-Yeboah Martha hails from Apam, Ghana, where her journey into academia began. She pursued her post-secondary education at the University for Development Studies, earning a degree in Renewable Natural Resources. During her studies, she investigated the carbon sequestration potential of Vitellaria paradoxa, sparking her keen interest in climate change, global warming, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Her passion for biogeochemistry was ignited during her undergraduate research project on soil nutrient dynamics and sequestration. This fascination led her to explore the effects of nutrients coupled with different water regimes on greenhouse gas emissions in desert soils during her postgraduate studies, further developing her expertise and dedication to the subject.

After completing her current program, Martha hopes to work with an agricultural research institute, collaborating with farmers to solve soil health and fertility issues while reducing greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring agricultural sustainability.

Outside of academia, she enjoys watching news and documentaries, activities that provide a balanced and enriching complement to her academic pursuits.
