About Chi Vi

Chi is from Vietnam and completed an MSc in Horticultural Science at Massey University, New Zealand. In her Master’s study, she studied narrow-leaf plantain (Plantago lanceolata L.) and its benefits in mitigating nitrous oxide emission from grazed pastoral systems. After graduating, she began working at an international NGO, particularly in a low-emission rice production project team. These studying and working times have spurred her research interest in agricultural greenhouse gas measurement methods, mitigation strategies, and climate-smart agricultural practices. She will begin her PhD in Environmental Science and International Development studies at the University of Guelph, under the supervision of Professor Claudia Wagner-Riddle. Her career goal focuses on development programmes to enable the adoption of sustainable practices at scale, support vulnerable groups and accelerate sustainable development goals achievement.
